Amazing Anomalies - Rockwall, Texas

The first of the Amazing Anomalies I've chosen is Rockwall, Texas. A small town named after a huge, mostly buried rock "formation" or rock wall. It was discovered by three men in the mid-1850s. All three wanted to name the town after themselves, but since they couldn't agree they just named the town Rockwall to settle the dispute. The wall is about 3.5 miles wide and 5.6 miles long, 20 square miles. I chose Rockwall for Amazing Anomalies because it's far different than anything Native Americans would have made so therefore doesn't belong in North America... right? Also it's so close to home and anyone can go see it, yet no research has really been done to find out what it is. Reportedly doorways and windows have been found in the wall, and the wall itself is said to be about 40 or so feet tall, gaining in girth at the bottom. This leads most people to believe it's an ancient man-made fortress. Not to mention two stones were found with inscriptions, one of which weighed about 2 tons. Of course no one ever studied or deciphered them. There's not very much information about it online either, not even the town's website gives it much mention. Basically just to explain how it got it's name. I've never personally been there, but from the pictures and videos I've seen I have no doubt it's an amazing man-made anomaly. Kinda makes you wonder who built it and why, and what happened to them? What other amazing anomalies are out there from people and civilizations we've never been lucky enough to stumble upon. Places not seen by man for hundreds, thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of years. Check out this site, has some good info on the rockwall, and other amazing "out of place" anomalies. Also leave a comment if you know of other amazing anomalies of any kind you want to see here. Or anything at all. Keep checking back for more amazing anomalies soon.
